Taicans—Honeywell and China's Sinochem Group have signed an agreement to form an equally-owned joint venture to produce hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) HFC-245fa, a non-ozone depleting rigid foam blowing agent used in insulation. Subject to Chinese government approval, the new venture expects to begin production of HFC-245fa in Taicang, Jiangsu Province, in late 2013.
