Geismar-West-lake Chemical Corp. is increasing the capacity of the previously announced chlor-alkali plant to be built at the company's vinyls production complex in Geismar, La. (PCN, 7 Mar 2011, p 3).Originally planned to produce 250,000 electrochemical units (ECUs) annually, the plant is now being designed for a capacity of up to 350,000 ECUs annually using state-of-the-art membrane technology.
