Ulsan—Korea Engineering Plastics Co. (KEP) has started a project to expand polyacetal capacity by 35,000 t/y at its Ulsan facility in Korea. The project, due to begin commercial production in early 2014, will increase the site's capacity to 140,000 t/y, making it "one of the world's largest manufacturing sites" for polyacetal. The expansion will utilize Mitsubishi Gas Chemical's technology, which is already integrated in the existing facility.
