Boston—Cabot has signed an agreement with Grupo Huo SAB to purchase the remaining 60% interest in its Mexican carbon black joint venture NHUMO SA for $105-million. Cabot has held an interest of approximately 40% in the NHUMO since 1990. The joint venture operates a 140,000-t/y carbon black production facility in Altamira, Mexico.
