Haldia-The government of West Bengal, India, has invited expressions of interest for its entire stake in Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. (HPL), local sources reported. The government holds 39.99% of HPL's equity capital and 100% of the preference share capital and "intends to disinvest its entire equity and preference shareholding in HPL through a competitive bidding process with the objective of reviving and restructuring the company," explained Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India, the government's advisor in the process.
