Jubail—National Petrochemical Co. (Petrochem) announced that its Saudi Polymers Co. joint venture with Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. is experiencing an unscheduled shutdown, with effect from 30 June 2013. "It is expected that it will take around two weeks for the plant to have all units back up and operating," said Petrochem, without giving details on the closure.
