Wuhan—China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (Sinopec) has completed construction and started up its new $2.7-billion, 800,000-t/y ethylene plant in Wuhan, China (PCN, 12 July 2010, p 1). The project, located on the Yangtze River, was halted in 2008 because of the global financial crisis. Work resumed in 2010.
