Tokyo—Ube Industries Ltd. has entered into a service agreement under which Ube Ammonia Industry Ltd. will entrust its plant operations to Ube Industries, effective 1 Oct. 2013. Ube Ammonia produces ammonia, carbon dioxide, oxygen, nitrogen and argon in Yamaguchi, Japan. Ube Industries procures this production from Ube Ammonia, some of which it uses for its own production of caprolactam and other chemicals and some of which it markets externally.
