Zarate—DAK Americas Argentina S.A. announced the acquisition of Ca-belmaPET S.A., a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle recycling operation located in Pacheco, Buenos Aires, Argentina, which will be incorporated into DAK's existing operations. The CabelmaPET facility currently recycles over 16,000 t/y of waste PET bottles. DAK plans to integrate the post-consumer recycled material from the acquired facility into its manufacturing process in Zarate, Buenos Aires, upon completion of process upgrades. DAK currently produces more than 190,000 t/y of virgin PET resin at Zarate.
