Prasue—PKN Orlen's Unipetrol subsidiary has signed an agreement to acquire Shell Overseas Investments' 16.335% interest in Ceska Rafinerska for $27.2-million. Unipetrol, which currently holds a 51.22% stake in Ceska Rafinerska, noted that this is an "opportunistic acquisition," fully in line with its strategy of increasing the "security of petrochemical feedstock supplies."
