Doha-Honeywell process Solutions has been seleeted by Qatar Fuel Additives Co. (Qafac) to supply a new integrated control and safety system for an upgrade of Qafac's methanol and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) production facilities in Mesaieed, Qatar. The upgrade project for the 982.000-t/y methanol and 610,000-t/y MTBE plant will help Qafac reduce operating costs, improve efficiencies and increase production.
