Wichita—Invista and Solvay have signed a settlement agreement that resolves disputes related to adiponitrile (ADN) intellectual property and technology being used at their Butachimie nylon 6,6 intermediates joint venture in Chalampe, Alsace, France. Invista said the settlement confirms its exclusive ownership of the Butachimie plant technology and includes a plan to upgrade the facility with Invista's latest and most advanced ADN technology. The planned upgrade is one of several components in a new joint venture relationship between Invista and Solvay.
