Downers Grove— Univar Inc. has commenced an initial public offering of 20-million shares of common stock pursuant to a registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The underwriters have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 3-million shares of common stock from certain Univar stockholders. The offering price is expected to be between $20 and $22 per share.
