Seoul—Hanwha Chemical of South Korea has retained Credit Suisse to manage the possible purchase of Dow Chemical's chlorine assets that are being separated from Dow, according to Yonhap News Agency. Dow late last year announced plans to separate a significant portion of its chlorine value chain, representing up to $5-billion in annual revenue, in anticipation of future transactions (PCN, 9 Dec 2013, p 1).
