摘要

Abuja—The Nigerian government is still considering plans to divest its interest in the country's refineries, according to sources quoting Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezani Alison-Madueke. The privatization, announced earlier this year, was put on hold after pressure from refinery workers, who protested the idea. The minister, noting that the government should not be in the business of refineries, said discussions to resolve the issue are currently being held with labor unions opposed to the plan.
