St. James— Syngas Energy Holdings plans to invest $360-million in a new methanol facility at St. James Parish, La., according to the Louisiana Economic Development's website. The new facility will have an initial production capacity of 500,000 t/y. Once permits are secured and a final investment decision is made, the company expects to begin construction in the second quarter of 2016, with completion anticipated at the end of 2018.
