Hanoi—Ha Bac Nitrogenous Fertilizers and Chemical Co. Ltd. (Hanichemco), a subsidiary of Vietnam National Chemical Group, has completed the upgrade and expansion of its Ha Bac ammonia and urea facility in Vietnam, according to local reports. The expanded facility is expected to produce about 300,000 t/y of ammonia and 500,000 t/y of urea (PCN, 11 Oct 2010, p 1). Cost of the project is estimated at around $569-million.
