Penserans— Petronas has selected Axens as the technology provider for its Refinery and Petrochemicals Integrated Development (RAPID) project located within the Pengerang Integrated complex in Johor, Malaysia (PCN, 25 May 2015, p 4). The RAPID project, scheduled to start-up in 2019, consists of a 300,000-b/d refinery and a petrochemical complex to produce about 7.7-million t/y of products. The project is estimated to cost $16-billion with an additional investment of about $ll-billion for associated facilities.
