Hanoi—Vung Ro Petroleum Ltd. has selected Ineos Technologies' Innovene polypropylene (PP) process for a new 900,000-t/y PP project in Hoa Tarn Commune, Vietnam. The new plant will produce homopolymers, random copolymers and impact copolymers in order to serve the growing demand in the Asian market and to "contribute to the continuing growth of the economy of Vietnam and neighboring countries," noted Ineos Technologies' Chief Executive Peter Williams. A completion date for the project was not given.
