Wilmington— Ellen Kullman, following 27 years with DuPont, the last seven of which she has served as chairman and chief executive, has announced that she will retire effective 16 Oct. On that date, Edward Breen, a current member of the company's board of directors, will assume the role of interim chair and chief executive. The board has retained an executive recruitment firm to help identify a permanent replacement for those positions.
