New Delhi— GAIL has begun operations at a new polyethylene (PE) process line, based on Univation Technology's Unipol PE process, at its petrochemical facility in Pata, Uttar Pradesh, India. The new 400,000-t/y high-density PE (HDPE) line increases the petrochemical plant's total production capacity to 810,000 t/y. It is the company's first PE line in Pata to use the Unipol process.
