Munich— Clariant said it has successfully expanded its selective oxidation catalyst portfolio with its new VAMax series catalysts, which offer high-activity for vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) producers. The VAMax catalysts "have demonstrated consistent and outstanding performance in commercial scale production of VAM over extended run-lengths," the company explained. The high-activity characteristic can allow a VAM producer to achieve higher production yields using existing production equipment.
