Sluiskil—Yara International has awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to Maire Tecnimont for a new urea granulation unit to be implemented in Sluiskil, the Netherlands. The lump-sum turn-key contract, valued at approximately ?125-million, involves a 2,000-t/d urea granulation plant, including some utilities. The plant will be based on Yara's technology, which allows for the production of special, sulfur enriched, urea grades, Tecnimont noted. Completion is expected 25 months from the signing date.
