Tokyo— Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. and its Mitsubishi Chemical Europe subsidiary have entered into a Joint Purchase Agreement to acquire the remaining shares of Nippon Synthetic Chemical Industry Co. for ￥910 per share. Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. currently holds a 51.49% interest in Nippon. Following the tender offer, Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. is expected to have a 95% stake and Mitsubishi Chemical Europe a 5% interest. Nippon shares will then be delisted. A closing date was not given.
