Amsterdam— AkzoNobel has made an agreed offer to purchase BASF's industrial coatings business for ?475-million (PCN, 15 Feb 2016, p 2). The transaction includes technologies, patents and trademarks, as well as securing supply to customers globally. It also includes a manufacturing plant in the UK and one in South Africa. Completion of the transaction is planned in the second half of this year, subject to customary closing conditions.
