摘要

We investigated the carbon dioxide emission rate in traffic flow analytically and numerically. The emission model was derived based on Bando's optimal velocity model with a consideration of slope. Simulations were conducted to examine the relationship between the CO_2 emission rate of vehicles and slope of road, traffic density, and road length. Analysis of the results shows that some original laws of CO_2 emission in traffic flow with congestion were exhibited.
