摘要

The present paper describes the results of investigations of the crystal and magnetic properties of the Ni(2)1In type (M1-xCox)(65)Sn-35 compounds with X-ray and neutron diffraction (ND), as well as magnetometric methods. The (Mn1-xCox)(65)Sn-35 crystallize in the Ni2In type in the range of 0 <= x <= 0.3. The ND study revealed that the Co atoms occupy only 2(d) site for x = 0.1, 0.2 and both 2(a) site, 2(d) site for x = 0.25, 0.3. The (Mn1-xCox)(65)Sn-35 exhibits ferrimagnetism. In the lower temperature range, cluster glass like phase is observed. Especially in the range of x <= 0.25, there exists a magnetic unit cell with two or three times the chemical one in the c direction. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
