摘要

We have investigated the transport and magnetic properties of RPt(2)ln(2) (R = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, and Gd) compounds by means of the AC electrical resistivity p and DC magnetic susceptibility X measurements. Both p(T) and chi(T) data indicate that LaPt2In2 and PrPt(2)ln(2) are non-magnetic above 2 K. The p(T) curve for CePt2In2 reveals characteristics of a Kondo system with a minimum occurs at 16 K and a logarithmic increase in p(T) at lower temperature. The occurrence of a peak in the X(T) curve indicates that NdPt(2)ln(2) undergoes antiferromagnetic transition with T-N = 3.52 K. Two magnetic transitions were observed in GdPt2In2 with transition temperatures of similar to 50 K and 16 K, respectively. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
