Several orientations of Mn-12-aC micro-crystals in a suspension sample, ranging from random orientation to very good alignment, have been prepared by applying external magnetic fields 0T <= H <= 1T. DC magnetization has subsequently been measured on warm up for each prepared orientation state in the temperature range 2K <= T <= 300 K. The degree of relative orientation in DC magnetization data is consistent with previous results from hysteresis loops. Below 100 K, the magnetization for the aligned state is higher than the randomly-oriented state. Above 100 K, where alignment occurs, no difference in magnetization was observed.
