In the last two weeks, traders reported that quotations for imported cathode were in the range of $100-120/t whilst those for SXEW were between $80-90/t. We noticed that when the LME cash price rose above $9,100/t, the imported cathode loss widened. A number of traders have reported that currently, the spot imported cathode loss is around RMB1,000/t compared to RMB400-500/t few days ago.
