A field experiment was conducted for two years to find out the optimum herbicide combination for efficient, economical and safe weed management strategy in irrigated Cotton. Among the combinations studied, pendimethalin 1.0 kg a.i./ha as pre- emergentherbicide followed by one hand weeding at 35- 40 DAS and mixture of pyrithiobac sodium 50g a.i/ha + quizalofop ethyl 50 g a.i /ha at 60 DAS was found to be efficient and more economical for managing weeds in irrigated cotton.
