The think tank said that it lowered its forecast of the Korea's economic growth rate, because the export environment of the nation is getting worse not only due to the prolonged debt problems in Europe, low expectation for quantitative easing in the U.S. and China's low economic growth rate, but also due to a slowdown in the employment-population ratio and a limit to the government's implementation of economic policy in Korea.
