FORT WORTH, Texas—Bridgestone Americas has been under deadline pressure in multiple areas lately. The Nashville, Tenn.-based tire maker is not only out to upgrade or replace all of its North American consumer replacement tires by 2020, it aims to slash its carbon-dioxide emissions and fuel consumption by 25 percent. The company made headway on those ambitious targets recently with the introduction of three Firestone tires to the North American market. Meanwhile, it's also doubling down on its bet on replacement run-flat tires, expanding the DriveGuard line to cover the hot-selling minivan and CUVs segments.
