Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements were performed for water confined within mesoporous silica substrates of TMPS-4 and TMPS-4M (TMPS-4 modified with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane) with highly ordered cylindrical channels. The pore diameter of TMPS-4M estimated by the DSC measurements corresponds to the results obtained by nitrogen adsorption measurements.
