Mideast Gulf crude exports increased by 330,000 b/d in October from September to above 15mn b/d for the frst time since April, according to revised Oil Move-ments data. The end of the peak summer cooling season freed up more crude for export in countries such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, even though their output was stable or even lower on the month. But other Mideast Gulf Opec members’ loadings declined as they tried to compensate for exceeding their Opec+ production ceilings in May-September by making additional cuts. The UAE’s exports declined by more than 165,000 b/d last month and Abu Dhabi’s Adnoc has reportedly cut December term nominations by 20pc for all its grades. The reduction is smaller than the 25pc cuts that the frm is making for its November-loading term crude exports and the 30pc cut it imposed for October shipments.
