The Sri Lankan government said on Thursday that Oman Oil Co. is interested in taking a stake in a proposed refinery project in Hambantota. Sri Lanka’s investment board said in a statement that the state-run firm had expressed its intent to take up to a 30% equity interest in the refinery scheme. It said another company, Oman Trading Intl., is willing to supply all of the feedstock requirements and to market the products (IOD Sep.19’18).
