BP has announced a deal to sell its assets in the Andrew area of the UK North Sea to independent producer Premier Oil in a deal worth $625 million. The assets comprise the Andrew platform and five fields in which BP holds majority stakes, as well as associated subsea infrastructure. BP will also sell its 27.5% stake in the Royal Dutch Shell- operated Shearwater field as part of the deal.
