摘要

Opec member Algeria has increased planned cuts in public spending this year to 50% as it grapples with the Covid-19 pandemic and low oil prices (IOD Apr.8’20). In March it had said that public spending would be cut by 30%. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said energy revenues were expected to fall to $20.6 billion from the $37.4 billion forecast earlier this year while foreign exchange reserves would fall to $44.2 billion from a previous forecast of $51.6 billion.
