Singapore-listed KrisEnergy has shut in production from Thailand’s Wassana oil field due to low oil prices and the uncertain market outlook. As a result, the company said it will reduce its workforce in Thailand by approximately 25%. The decision is not expected to have a material impact on Thailand’s oil production as oil produced from the Wassana field represented only 3% of Thailand’s daily oil production in the first quarter of 2020.
