India’s oil demand may gradually return to pre-coronavirus levels from July, once the lockdown to contain the pandemic ends and economic activity picks up, a top official at state-owned refiner Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (BPCL) said. "While transportation demand will pick up faster, jet fuel demand may be most hit in the near term,” R Ramachandran, the director of BPCL’s refinery business, told Energy Intelligence in an interview.
