Norway's DNO plans to spend $250 million developing its oil assets in Iraqi Kurdistan this year, a 50% increase on 2017 and a sorely needed boost for the isolated regional government and its vital energy sector. Higher revenues and regular export payments have enabled DNO's spending splurge. Rising crude output at its prolific Tawke license, which currently produces 113,000 barrels per day - as well as the oil price recovery - lifted the Norwegian independent's annual revenues by 72% to $347 million in 2017 (IOD Nov.10'17).
