Russia’s secretive Surgutneftegas, the country’s fourth-largest crude oil producer, aims to launch several crude oil fields in the next two years that should help it raise production in the short term. Surgut said in its latest report that it aims to launch four fields in 2018-20 in West and East Siberia, including the Rogozhnikovskaya and Uvat group of fields, where output could rise to 5 million tons-6 million metric tons/yr (100,400 b/d-120,500 b/d) in the next couple of years. The company aims to start developing Lenskoye oil and gas condensate field in East Siberia this year.
