摘要

A militia attack on two of Libya’s main eastern oil terminals has forced the state-run National Oil Corp. (NOC) to evacuate its staff and shut in 240,000 barrels per day of production, just days before Opec and its non-Opec partners meet in Vienna seeking to reassure markets about a possible supply crunch. A militia loyal to the controversial separatist leader Ibrahim Jathran, who is associated with the federalist Cyrenaica movement, attacked the Es Sider and Ras Lanuf oil terminals early on Jun. 14. NOC said the ports had been closed, force majeure declared and all its staff evacuated due to armed clashes in the area. An oil tanker due to enter the Es Sider port on Thursday was postponed.
