The emulsifier system consists of potassium stearate; typically, if the emulsions pH level is above 6.75, then the emulsifier system also contains sodium stearate. This is because the stearic acid is neutralized by sodium hydroxide. Sodium hydroxide is not listed as a separate ingredient here because it is accounted for in sodium carbomer, indicating it was used to neutralize sodium stearate.
