Stronger competition in the global slab market in recent weeks hasmade CIS producers reduce their export offer prices, sources told MetalBulletin on Monday June 19.Recent slab offers from CIS mills were heard around $390 per tonnefob Black Sea, against $400 per tonne fob a week earlier.But the decrease was not sufficient to spur buying activity as offersfrom Brazil and Iran were coming at even lower prices.
