Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Industry Co (TMI) has unveiled plans fora $30 million restart of the Woodie Woodie manganese mine inWestern Australia.Full-scale mining will be achieved by October 17, the mine’s owner,Consmin, said on Tuesday, adding that it is targeting production of1.3-1.5 million tpy manganese ore. Jersey-headquartered Consmin was taken over by TMI, its largestcustomer and the world’s largest electrolytic manganese metalproducer, in May this year after the Chinese group agreed to theacquisition in November 2016.
