Abruptly autofocusing properties of radially polarized circle Pearcey vortex beams

摘要

We introduce the radially polarized circle Pearcey vortex (RPCPV) beams for the first time and investigate their abruptly autofocusing properties by numerical simulations in this paper. Compared with the linearly polarized circle Pearcey vortex (CPV) beams (Chen et al., 2018), the light intensity of the RPCPV beams at the focal plane is greater than that of the CPV beams under the same conditions, and various special focused field patterns can be also achieved through manipulating the magnitude of topological charges of the incident beam. The abruptly autofocusing properties of RPCPV beams with the different position of the vortex (including on-axis, off-axis, and vortex pairs) have also been discussed. Furthermore, the position and the light intensity of the focus can be flexibly controlled by adjusting the parameter of the incident beam properly.
