Gurjaon—The Pacific Capesize market was heard to be quiet Thursday while the Atlantic market remained firm. Soaring bunker prices, specifically 380 CST bunker fuel delivered Singapore, were observed to be a major concern among shipowners and shipbrokers.A stronger FFA market also provided shipowners a basis to hold firmer on their offers while charterers were heard making marginal increments to their bids on the day. "With current bunker costs, [rates] have to come up," a shipowner said.
