Brussels— Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, said 92% of all non-compliant chemicals in consumer products come from outside the European Union (EU), confirming an "urgent" need for EU member states to "step up" enforcement of REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) in imports.
