Abu Qir Fertilizers (ABUK) is planning to increase the daily production capacity of its ABUK-3 urea line in Egypt by 6% to 8%, according to Daily News Egypt. The project, estimated to cost $80-million to $90-million, will increase urea production capacity to 2,370 t/d from 1,925 t/d currently. The expansion is planned to begin at the end of this year and take about 24 months to complete.
